This Vintage Fortified wine was produced with Shiraz fruit from the "Hill Block" on the estate. Careful fruit selection enabled us to manage the unseasonal heavy rains that occured over the harvest period. The wine was fermented on skins to extract colour, tannins and flavour before fortifying with a special brandy spririt to lift and compliment the spicy fruit characters. The wine is designed to mature and develop in the bottle over many years and may develop a harmless crust through ageing. We recommend decanting before serving.
