Cordes House at Bay of Shoals is a fully self-contained house just 2km from the main town of Kingscote and is a great starting point from which to tour the island's many attractions.

You can enjoy fantastic views over the Bay of Shoals vineyards to the water, watch the pelicans greet the fishing boats returning to the boat ramp or take a leisurely stroll around the foreshore to historic Reeves Point, South Australia's first settlement.

Cook your own BBQ on the deck as you watch the light change over the vineyard and Busby Islet, relaxing with a glass of award-winning wine from the Bay of Shoals cellar door just a cork's throw down the path. This is how a holiday should be!

Customer Reviews

"We spent 3 nights at the winery which was an easy drive from the ferry and set in the most spectacular location with the vines heading down into the sea. We had a friendly welcome at the Bay of Shoals winery and sampled their diverse range which catered for all of our palates - from a light Moscato to big reds.

The accommodation itself was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and enabled us to enjoy some fresh local seafood on the BBQ. Our 3 month old felt right at home and our overseas visitors enjoyed seeing the kangaroos passing through the backyard at sunset.

With so much to see and do on Kangaroo Island we were only sorry that we didn't have an extra day, which we could have spent relaxing on the deck overlooking the beautiful Bay of Shoals. We are already planning our next visit."
